Law degree from Universidad Latina of Costa Rica. Efrain has been part of our Firm since 2006 and became partner in 2012.

Efrain is responsible for the Litigation Department of our firm. He has extensive experience in labor judicial procedures. He worked at the Labor Court of the Second Judicial Circuit of San Jose from  May 2000 through April 2006. He has served as a professor of Individual and Collective Labor Law at Universidad de San Jose.

He is the author of the academic special graduation project titled: “La aplicación supletoria del Código Procesal Civil dentro del procedimiento laboral, por remisión del artículo 452 del Código de Trabajo; un análisis crítico desde la perspectiva jurisdiccional”.

Chambers & Partners has recognized him as a prominent lawyer in labor law in Costa Rica during 2013 and 2014.

Efrain has been a speaker in different seminars and congresses on labor topics, both locally and internationally; and serves as permanent collaborator for elempleo.com section of the La Nación newspaper. As an expert on labor topics, Efrain is regularly consulted by different media outlets in Costa Rica.
